We have a 2-meter net as part of our Club’s priority to provide emergency communications as situations warrant.  This net gives participants an opportunity to exercise some of their traffic passing skills in a non-emergency situation.

The 2-meter net is held at 20:00 Eastern Time each Tuesday, except for the 3rd Tuesday when we have our club meeting. The net meets on the Spivey Mountain W4MOE repeater:  146.91 Mhz, -0.6 Mhz offset, 91.5 Hz tone.  We thank the Western Carolina Amateur Radio Society for the use of the repeater.

As an alternate emergency communications mode, we also conduct an informal HF Roundtable the first Tuesday of every month. The HF Roundtable is held at 17:00 Eastern Time on 7278 kHz +/- a few.

All Hams—HAMARS members or not—are encouraged to check in.  And if you’re not licensed and have a shortwave receiver that can tune in Single Sideband (SSB), you can try tuning us in and listen.
